Horsewood Supplement Facts: The Panel, Row by Row
The Horsewood panel lists a two-capsule serving and thirty servings per bottle.
Seven actives total 118 mg: five at 20 mg, tongkat ali at 10 mg of a 100:1 extract and horny goat weed at 8 mg of a 10:1.
For each ingredient in detail, see the ingredients page.
A transcription, a disagreement between four sources about how many ingredients there are, and the one number this label leaves out.

Does Horsewood have six ingredients or seven?
Seven. The panel on the back of the bottle prints seven active rows and the seventh is Sarsaparilla (Smilax ornata) Root Extract at 20 mg.
It is worth saying plainly that two other sources say six. The named list this desk holds in its supplier paperwork carries these:
The six in the supplier’s named list
- Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma Longifolia)
- Horny Goat Weed (Epimedium sagittatum)
- Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) Berry Extract
- Wild Yam (Dioscorea villosa) Root Extract
- Nettle (Urtica dioica) Leaf Extract
- Boron Amino Acid Chelate
The manufacturer’s own listing graphic, the one titled INSIDE HORSEWOOD, draws the same six around the bottle. The seller’s sales page, meanwhile, names seven and includes sarsaparilla.
So the count splits two against two, and the tie-breaker is not a vote. The Supplement Facts panel is the regulated statement of what is in the capsule, it is printed on the container a buyer receives, and it is the document a reader can check against the bottle in his hand. This website therefore counts seven, prints sarsaparilla beside the other six on the ingredients page, and says here that two of our four sources do not. The full working, including what sarsaparilla actually is and why wild yam sits beside it on the same misunderstanding, is in the article on the seventh ingredient.
If the bottle you receive prints a panel that differs from the one transcribed above, the bottle is right and this page is out of date. Send a photograph to [email protected] and the page will be corrected with the review date moved forward.
What 100:1 and 10:1 mean on the Horsewood panel
Two rows on this panel carry a ratio and a stated equivalent, and they are the two rows most likely to be misread.
| Row | On the panel | What the ratio claims | What it does not tell you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tongkat ali | 10 mg, from a 100:1 extract | That 10 mg of concentrate was produced from, and is meant to stand in for, about 1,000 mg of dry root powder | How much eurycomanone is in it. Extract ratios describe how much raw material went in, not how much of the active came out, and the trials report weights of standardised extract instead. |
| Horny goat weed | 8 mg, from a 10:1 extract | That 8 mg stands in for about 80 mg of dry leaf | How much icariin is in it. Eighty milligrams of dry leaf is a small amount of leaf by any measure. |
A ratio is a manufacturing statement. It is genuinely more information than most labels give, and it is not the same information as a standardised active content.
The practical version: a ratio tells you the label is not hiding a dilution, and it still does not let you compare the row to a trial that reported a different unit. Both halves matter and most pages print only the first.
The one figure the Horsewood panel leaves out
Elemental boron. The row reads Boron Amino Acid Chelate, 20 mg, and a chelate is the mineral bound to an amino acid carrier. The boron itself is a fraction of that 20 mg and the panel does not print the fraction.
This matters because boron is the one row on this panel with a meaningful upper limit attached to it, and because the trials that make boron interesting to a men’s formula, including the bodybuilder trial, dosed elemental boron in single-digit milligrams. Without the elemental figure, a reader cannot place this row on that scale at all.
This website does not put a number there. A plausible-looking estimate, printed beside six figures that were actually read off a label, would be the one line on this page a reader could not check.
- Settled: seven rows, seven printed amounts, 118 mg declared per serving
- Settled: serving size, servings per container and supply length all agree
- Settled: the three excipients, named
- Open: how much elemental boron is inside 20 mg of chelate
- Open: the standardised active content of the two concentrated rows
How this Horsewood page was written
This desk publishes what the bottle says, and marks the places where the seller’s page says more than the bottle does. The four claims below are the ones a sceptical reader can audit in ten minutes, which is the only reason worth making them:
- The label is the source. The seven panel rows and their milligrams, the two-capsule serving, the thirty servings, the sixty capsules, the other ingredients and the printed caution all come from the label artwork the manufacturer ships, read directly. Not from a review column and not from an affiliate summary.
- Where two sources disagree, both appear. The panel prints seven active rows. The named list this desk holds carries six of them and the manufacturer’s own listing graphic draws the same six. Sarsaparilla is the seventh. That difference is set out on the label page rather than tidied away, and it is the reason this website counts seven.
- Sources are real and linked in the sentence. Every study cited here was pulled through the NCBI interface and read before it was written down, and swept twice for retractions: once at paper level and once at author level. Two candidate papers were dropped at the second sweep. Every government page was opened in a browser and checked by the title it returned, and four candidate links were dropped for returning a 404 that a careless writer would have shipped.
- Prices are quoted with a date. The supplier publishes no ladder of its own and defers to the seller’s page. The three figures on our pricing page were read from that page on 19 September 2026 and are labelled with that date, because the seller can change them without telling us.
We earn when you buy. Horsewoodcare is the Horsewood retail desk named at the top of this page, and this website makes money on orders placed through it. That is exactly why the dose-comparison table, the two three-star reviews and the page explaining what 20 mg of saw palmetto cannot do are here: they are the places where our interest and yours pull apart, and you should be able to watch us choose.
The order desk on +1 (641) 711-1414 and [email protected] handles tracking, address changes, cancellations and refunds. It is not a sales line and this website never presents it as a way to place an order; orders go through the checkout only. Write to [email protected] about the pages themselves.
